2013 Parent Orientation

Attention all parents and guardians of all students who are enrolling in Newark Collegiate Academy for the 2009-10 school year:

Please make plans to attend one of our mandatory Family Orientation sessions. During these two-hour sessions, we will review what it takes to function well as college prep, Newark Collegiate student, give you a sense of what your child’s life will be like at NCA, and set expectations for the upcoming school year. Family Orientation sessions will run in Room 318 at NCA during following times:

  • Tuesday, June 16th, 2009 5:30-7:30 PM
  • Thursday, June 18th, 2009 7:00-9:00 PM

Our school is currently located on the third floor of the Newark Vocational High School campus at 301 West Kinney St. PLEASE FILL OUT THE ATTACHED FORM. Only parents and guardians should plan to attend this orientation; students may not attend. We look forward to spending time with you!

Welcome Class of 2013!

The following are instructions for applying to Newark Collegiate Academy. TEAM Academy and Rise Academy students ONLY.

  • Step 1. Enrollment forms. The enrollment for TEAM Academy & Rise Academy students occurs on a rolling basis from December 15, 2008 – March 9, 2009. All students must complete their enrollment forms online. You will be asked for a password which you can get from your school’s Office Manager or your advisory teacher.
  • Step 2. Interview. All enrolling students must interview with a Newark Collegiate Academy representative. Interviews will be conducted throughout February and March of 2009.
  • Step 3 Portfolio and Transcript Submission. Students enrolling from TEAM Academy and Rise Academy must submit their current transcripts by March 6th, 2009.” .
  • Step 4. Status Letters. Newark Collegiate Academy will mail status letters home to students beginning March 2nd, 2009.
  • Step 5. Final Transcript Submission. All enrolling students must submit a final transcript to Newark Collegiate Academy by June 22, 2009. Please note that a student’s acceptance may be overturned if he/she is not in good academic standing at the close of the school year.
